Why Acamedic

HUS Acamedic is a secure processing environment developed by HUS together with TietoEvry . HUS Acamedic is a research environment where sensitive social welfare and healthcare data can be analysed in a secure manner. HUS Acamedic is a SaaS- (Software-As-A-Service) software. HUS Acamedic is cloud-native and it is built on Microsoft Azure. HUS Acamedic has been audited in accordance with the Act on the Secondary Use of Health and Social Data (552/2019). HUS Acamedic will also be an EHDS-compliant processing environment. HUS Acamedic is registered in Valvira’s processing environment register called Astori.

A separate HUS Acamedic processing environment will be opened for each study that comes to HUS Acamedic. Each HUS Acamedic processing environment is named individu-ally.
