HUS Data Service
The HUS Data service acts as an expert on registry data and extracts data from the data lake for purposes such as scientific research. A data permit is required to use the data, which can be applied for via the Tutkijan työpöytä application. If you wish to combine HUS data with data from other data controllers, you must apply for a data permit from the Social and Health Data Permit Authority, Findata. Preliminary inquiries can be made to the HUS Data Service during the project planning phase, for example, to determine the size of the target group, data availability, or cost estimate. Once the project has a valid data permit, a data request can be submitted to the Data Service via the Service Portal. The Data Service will deliver the materials covered by the permit to the secure user environments of each research project.
